ON THE ECONOMY
Our Nation is in trouble. Unemployment is hovering above 7%, the stock market is performing badly, seniors are losing life savings, reputable large and small businesses are going under and almost 1 million homes are in foreclosure.

Americans are scared and for very good reason.

We have recovered from worse circumstances, and we will recover again. But it takes fiscal responsibility on the part of our elected officials!!!

We need to make the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts permanent. We need to cut capital gains taxes. We need to give tax credits to small businesses for equipment and expansion. This will give small business owners the ability to plan for the future and hire more employees. You can only create jobs if employers know that their tax obligations are not going up in the near future. Stability in the tax rates will allow businesses to invest their profits in expansion and jobs.

We must cut the death tax and repeal the marriage tax penalty. I want to permanently extend the $1,000 child tax credit.

By limiting taxes, you grow the economy increase jobs. This will keep more jobs in America and prevent them from being shipped overseas. When you cut the corporate tax by 10% this puts billions of dollars back into the economy.

No family should have to pay more than 25% of their income to the government. Our country was founded on the idea of limited government. Every person should have the opportunity to pursue his or her dream and to succeed. If we limit taxation it will jump start the entrepreneurial spirit in America. Those new business activities will grow our job market. It has worked in the past and it will work again.

My priorities for Congress are:
LIMITED GOVERNMENT
LOWER TAXES, and
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
